Welcoming the Darkness
with presence and intention

As the days get shorter and temperatures get cooler,
we take time to explore what the
dark months ahead may bring and set intentions for how we want to be present in our lives during this time.
The afternoon will provide space for both quiet introspection and safe connection, as we reflect on the challenges and the gifts of the dark through conversations, journaling, movement, and art.
We will bid farewell to the sun with a gentle sunset yoga class to help us ground and connect with the natural rhythm of the day.
Embracing the darkness, we will enjoy an intimate dinner by candlelight, followed by a closing circle around the campfire.
The retreat will end at 8pm, but you are invited to stay and enjoy the darkness until 8:45pm. SkyPond's location and the night's waxing crescent moon are perfect for stargazing!
Accessibility
SkyPond is a rustic retreat center with some accessibility challenges to note.
The restroom requires a step up and the yoga studio requires going up 12 steps with a double handrail provided.
The paths from the parking area and to the firepit are unpaved. Flashlights will be provided to help with night time navigation.

Preparing for the day
Please come prepared to spend time indoors and out (wearing layers is highly recommended).
Light snacks, tea, and water will be available throughout the day and dinner will be provided with a vegetarian option.
All journaling, art materials, yoga mats, and props will be provided, but feel free to bring your own or anything else that will make you feel more comfortable (personal journal, blanket, waterbottle, your own snacks, etc).
Payment & Cancellation Policy
Payment options include Venmo, PayPal, CashApp, and all major credit cards. After you register, you will receive a confirmation email from Grace to discuss your preferred method of payment.
Cancellations made before 11/1 will be reimbursed in full.
Cancellations after 11/1 will be reimbursed 50% of the cost.
